Health and Safety

 

  1. Please note you must conduct yourself in a safe and professional manner at all times.

  2. You must wear sensible footwear at all times.

  3. In the event of an accident you must report to the Café and fill in in an accident form before leaving site.

  4. Should you require first aid, the owner can offer a first aid box, but please be aware that we are not always on site to administer first aid.

  5. Please be aware all anglers, clubs and syndicate members should have and be responsible for their own public liability and equipment insurance.

  6. Please do not place yourself in an unsafe situation on the bankside which could cause harm or injury to yourself or other anglers.

            Match and Coarse lake Rules

Island Lake

  1. All nets must be dipped before fishing.

  2. All netted fish to be un-hooked in landing nets.

  3. BARBLESS hooks only.

  4. NO LITTER to be left on pegs, USE bins provided or take home.

  5. MINIMUM 5lb bottom line, MAXIMUM hook size 10.

  6. NO fish to be removed from the site, if found to be doing so you WILL be prosecuted.

  7. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.

  8. A current rod license is required.

  9. Rod/poles not to be left unattended (WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY ANGLER LOOSING THERE ROD/POLE IN THE LAKE).

  10. All under 14's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  11. KEEPNETS are only allowed in Matches, and at that time you must use 2, 1 for Carp and 1 for Silvers, were needed a 3rd must be used for Carp. A net limit is 70lb, NO tumbling of fish when weighing in. 70lb limit.

  12. All feeder and bombs must be FREE running at all times, no stops to be used above the feeder.

  13. NO Floating Poles

  14. BAIT BANS>>>

  15. Bloodworm and joker only to be used between October and March. Dog or Cat Meat. NO Floating Baits. Ground Bait through Cupping kit and Feeders Only.

  16. Boilies to a maximum size of 10mm.

  17. PLEASE Respect other anglers around you and keep noise to a minimum and radios low.

Horseshoe Lake

  1. Un-hooking Mats are Compulsory.

  2. All Nets and Retainers are to be dipped and rinsed on arrival.

  3. All pegs are to be cleaned and all rubbish removed and placed in the provided dustbin near entrance upon leaving.

  4. Any person bringing DOGS please ensure they are kept on leads and any MESS to be cleaned up straight away.

  5. For Insurance Purposes ALL visitors MUST report to Cafe before going down and cars to be left in Car Park.

  6. Guests by permission only.

  7. All anglers bringing their children must keep them at the swim being fished and not allowed to walk around alone. 

  8. Horseshoe lake is Barbless hooks Only, no double hooks single only.

  9. All anglers are to fish from the designated pegs.

  10. There is NO fishing from the out side of the horseshoe lake.

  11. During wet months all cars must to be parked in the Car Park near horseshoe lake as the gate will be closed.

  12. No rods to be left unattended, max 1 swim distance allowed.

  13. Bait Boats are allowed but please have consideration for others and not to encroach on there swim.

  14. No CARP or any other species are to be taken from the Lake, you will be asked to leave and Banned for life if caught doing so.

  15. The only bait Ban in place is Peanuts.

  16. No Litter, No Open fires, Bbq's are to be used off the ground. No loud music, no bright lights, Please respect other anglers. No excessive drinking.

  17. 2 rods Max per swim unless fishing a double Swim

  18. Please ensure you have the right EA Fishing License for the amount of rods being used.

  19. No braided main lines or shock leaders, No Leadcore Leaders. All korda and fox safe zone leaders are ok.

  20. No boats allowed, No Swimming.

  21. All Tickets must be Booked and Purchased before going down the lake. Change over time is 10am.

  22. Any food being delivered by takeaway must be done by 7pm.

               Carp Syndicate Rules.

 

1. UNHOOKING MATS COMPULSORY

2. ALL NETS / SACKS TO BE DIPPED ON ARRIVAL

3. NO BENT HOOKS OR FIXED LEADS, RANDOM RIG CHECKS WILL BE MADE. NO CONFRONTATION WILL BE ENTERED INTO.

4. NO BOATS, EXCEPT FOR BAIT BOATS. USERS MUST RESPECT OTHER ANGLERS OR THEY WILL BE ASKED NOT TO USE THEM.

5. MINIMUM OF 15LB LINE

6. NO RODS TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED WHILST CAST OUT AND MUST NOT BE LEFT IN THE CARE OF ANOTHER ANGLER WHO IS FISHING FROM A DIFFERENT SWIM 

7. NO CARS AROUND THE LAKE WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF MANAGEMENT. CARS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE LAKE, WHEN CONDITIONS ALLOW, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7 AM AND 9 PM

OR DUSK WHICHEVER IS THE SOONER.

CARS ARE PERMITTED ON THE LAKE TO LET MEMBERS DROP OFF OR PICK UP THEIR FISHING TACKLE BUT MUST NOT REMAIN THERE FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR.  CARS MUST BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY TO THE CAR PARK PROVIDED. THERE IS NO VEHICLE ACCESS TO THE SKI LAKE BANK OR FURTHER THAN THE FENCE AT PEG 14.

8. ANY ANGLER MISTREATING FISH WILL INVITE A PERMANENT BAN ALL CARP MUST BE TRANSPORTED BETWEEN LAKE AND UNHOOKING MAT AND RETURNED IN A WEIGH SLING. THE SACKING OF CARP MUST ONLY TAKE PLACE FOR A REASONABLE LENGTH OF TIME TO ENABLE PHOTOGRAPHS OR TO AID RECOVERY.

9. MEMBERS WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO BRING GUESTS TO FISH.

10. ALL VISITORS MUST PARK THEIR CARS IN THE CAFE CAR PARK.

11. NO PEANUTS

12. NO PLEASURE SWIMMING

13. NO LITTER, NO FIRES OR UNAUTHORISED WEAPONS. NO UNNECESSARY DAMAGE SHOULD BE DONE TO VEGETATION.

14. MEMBERS DOGS TO BE KEPT UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES AND THEIR MESS TO BE CLEANED UP AND NOT LEFT IN THE SWIMS. ANY DOG BROUGHT BY A MEMBER AND FOUND TO BE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE FISHERY OR ANNOYANCE TO OTHER ANGLERS WILL BE ASKED NOT TO BRING THEM AGAIN.

15. THREE-ROD LIMIT ONLY PER PERSON PER SWIM FROM 1ST MARCH TO 1ST OCTOBER FOUR RODS ALLOWED DURING WINTER.

16. ANY PERSON FOUND REMOVING OR TRANSFERRING FISH WITHOUT AUTHORISATION WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED AND PROSECUTED.

17. NO BRIGHT LIGHTS OR TILLEY LAMPS OUTSIDE BIVVIES AS THIS HAS CAUSED ANNOYANCE TO OTHER ANGLERS IN THE PAST

18. NO SHOCK LEADER OR LEAD CORE TO BE USED OR BRAIDED MAINLINE, AS THIS HAS BEEN FOUND STILL ATTACHED TO THE FISH WHEN LINE HAS BEEN SNAPPED. ANY PERSON FOUND TO BE USING THIS WILL BE ASKED TO REEL IN AND REMOVE WHILST THE BAILIFF IS STILL PRESENT.

 NO RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE TAKEN BY THE MANAGEMENT FOR LOSS / DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR PERSONAL INJURY WHILST ON SITE. BAILIFFS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ENFORCE THE ABOVE RULES AND TO ASK ANY ANGLER TO LEAVE THE FISHERY IF THE ABOVE RULES HAVE BEEN BROKEN. MEMBERSHIP MONIES ARE NON REFUNDABLE.THE OWNERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE LAKE IN PART OR WHOLE FOR CHARITY FISH-INS OR MAINTENANCE WORK ON THE SITE.
